Vintage: 2021 |Varieties: 55% Mencía, 45% Whites (Palomino and Valenciana) |D.O. Bierzo
Jonás is an emotional journey to the origins of Leonese viticulture. This limited edition of only 3,750 bottles recovers the ancient technique of co-fermentation of red and white varieties, resulting in a fresh, fluid and captivating wine. It is the perfect clarete for those looking to buy different wines, light and with a fruity intensity that surprises from the first sip.
The Art of Mixed Harvesting: The Mencía grapes are harvested and processed alongside the local whites in a single day, respecting the tradition of old vineyards where all varieties coexisted in the same plot.
Handcrafted Production: Its pale ruby colour comes from subtle contact with the skins (10%) during fermentation, achieving a light structure but with a vibrant and clean personality.
The "Danger" of Easy Drinking: Jonás has been designed under a philosophy of maximum friendliness; a "quick drink" wine that invites a second glass thanks to its balance and freshness.
Winery: 13 Viñas (Artisan project).
Production: Limited to 3,750 numbered bottles.
Varieties: 55% Mencía (Red), 45% Palomino and Valenciana (White).
Philosophy: "Back to the origins" and minimal intervention.
Pairing Suggestion:
Jonás is the ideal companion for an afternoon of tapas and cold cuts. It shines especially with white meats (chicken or turkey), Mediterranean rice dishes, and lightly spiced Asian cuisine.
Sommelier Tip: Serve it slightly chilled, between 10°C and 12°C, to enhance its more fruity and refreshing side.
