Viña La Recuperada 2023 is one of the most refined creations of Luna Beberide. This single-varietal Mencía comes from vineyards over 60 years old located in the emblematic Valdetruchas Site (Villafranca del Bierzo), at altitudes reaching 900 metres. Its privileged location on decomposed slate soils and bedrock gives the wine a finesse and freshness that place it at the pinnacle of wines from the León region.
High Elegance: The south-facing slopes, situated between 700 and 900 metres, allow for perfect ripening which, in the 2023 vintage, translates into exceptional liveliness and freshness.
Noble Aging: It rests for 12 months in French oak barrels, achieving a masterful balance between fruit and wood.
Unfiltered Purity: Bottled unfiltered to preserve all its mineral complexity and the structure that only old vines can offer.
Visual Phase: Deep cherry red colour, bright and with an elegant tear.
Olfactory Phase: Notable for its aromatic complexity. Very pronounced mineral notes accompanied by myrtle, herbs from the underbrush and ripe red fruits.
Gustatory Phase: On the palate, it is the definition of elegance. It presents a superb balance with vibrant acidity that makes it long and fluid.
Finish: Refined, persistent and with a marked character of the terroir from which it comes.
