The vineyards are on slopes between 700 and 1000 metres in altitude, all facing south in the area of “A Serra”, in Dragonte, Corullón. Planting density is 1.20 x 1.20. The soil type is decomposed slate over bedrock.
The 2023 vintage is characterised by its Atlantic influence and a good temperature contrast between day and night. Paixar 2023 is a very complete wine.
On the palate, minerality, balsamic notes, spices, and the presence of scrubland prevail.
The wine shows all its personality given the rusticity of the Dragonte terroir and the elegance of the Mencía.
